TC Max & Friends
We recently invited a few journalists to experience the future and test-ride the range-topping TC Max through its natural habitat, Melbourne’s inner city and surrounding suburbs. We experienced Melbourne’s suburban route which includes stop-and-go traffic, curvy side roads and even a hill climb to the top of Yarra Bend Park.

“Unlike most budget-friendly rides, pulling up the urban commuter was impressive. The front and rear 240mm disk brakes are managed by a combined braking system (commonly found on more expensive motorbikes), which essentially distributes the braking force between the front and rear brakes to reduce stopping distance. While it does sound like marketing hyperbole, in reality, it’s a very effective system that will get a lot of people out of trouble during their daily commute.”

“Accelerating away from the lights, the TC Max has enough grunt to separate you from most four-wheeled traffic. Motorheads like myself are always going to pine for more power, and there’s little to fear at the throttle stop here, but commuter-focused riders will find it gets the job done and doesn’t feel dangerously underpowered like some machines certainly can. If your trip to work includes stretches of highway, it’ll handle anything up to 80 km/h (50 mph) with aplomb, and take you close to 100 km/h (62 mph) if you’re both patient and aerodynamic.”
